Baptists sponsor services

Staff report

Trumbull Baptist Association is sponsoring Lenten services at 6 p.m. Sundays, starting this weekend through March 1. Members of TBA are American Baptist Churches in Mahoning, Trumbull and Stark counties. Light refreshments and fellowship will follow worship.

The schedule is:

Sunday, Alliance First Baptist Church, 1659 W. State St., Alliance, with speaker, the Rev. Katie Oskin of Hubbard First Baptist Church.

March 4 at Girard First Baptist Church, 7 E. Kline St., Girard, with the Rev. Claye Folger of Salem First Baptist Church.

March 11 at Salem First Baptist Church, 1290 E. State St., Salem, with Pastor Angelo LaCivita of Western Reserve Community Church.

March 18 at Hubbard First Baptist Church, 59 Orchard Ave., Hubbard, with the Rev. Steve Rhodes of Alliance First Baptist Church.

March 25 at the Church on Eastland, 3217 Surrey Road. SE, Warren, with the Rev. Robert Hughes of Calvary Baptist Church.

April 1, Palm Sunday, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1463 Shields Road, Boardman, with the Rev. Matt Thomas of the Church on Eastland. There will also be special music by the Rev. Robert Noble of Locust Grove Baptist Church.
