V&M’s $650 million pipe mill ‘nearing completion’

YOUNGSTOWN V&M’s $650 million pipe mill is “nearing completion,” according to 2011 financial statements released by Vallourec, V&M’s France-based parent company.

The mill is scheduled to produce its first tube and start commercial production this summer and ramp up production throughout the rest of the year.

The plant is expected to employ about 350 full-time workers.
