I would like to respond to Thomas Sowell’s Feb. 15 column in The Vindicator: “Progressives still follow wrong path.”

Hey, Tom (you of “superior wisdom”): you’d better go back and read your grade school history textbook again. Theodore Roosevelt was a Republican. Repeat, Republican. His favorite expression was “Bully!” (Like you Republicans do in Congress these days).

It’s amazing how the Republicans have resorted to practicing cannibalism these days; turning on and eating their own. Witness the vicious fighting between Romney, Santorum and Gingrich. Bloody! Really good for America, right? Keep it up, boys.

Republicans seem to hate women’s rights, minorities, young people, student voters, senior citizens, the really elderly, income tax, Social Security, Medicare, and affordable health care for all. What does that leave for them not to hate? I guess, just white males who solemnly quote the words of Jesus while lovingly cleaning and fondling their guns.
