Police: Fisherman found dead in reservoir

RIDGWAY, Pa. (AP) — Police say a western Pennsylvania man apparently fell through the ice during a fishing trip and drowned.

The Erie-Times News reports that 64-year-old Leslie Haas was found late Thursday in Ridgway Reservoir, about 120 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.

Haas, of Ridgway, was reportedly ice fishing and didn’t return home after dark.

Police conducted a search of the area and found Haas’ body in the water, and a diver was able to retrieve it.

Authorities believe he drowned sometime Thursday afternoon.
