Mahoning grand jury indicts man charged in Youngstown's latest homicide

YOUNGSTOWN — A Mahoning County grand jury indicted the 20-year-old man who admitted to police he shot the city’s most-recent murder victim.

Lamont McQueen, of East Lucius Avenue, has been indicted on a murder charge and two counts of felonious assault with firearm specifications. The murder charge and one of the felonious assault charges stem from the shooting of 19-year-old Cedrick Robinson of Youngstown.

McQueen is also charged with felonious assault for attempting to cause harm to O’Keefe Brown with a gun. Brown, 18, of Youngstown was not mentioned in any previous police reports associated with the shooting.

If convicted as charged, McQueen faces 15 years to life in prison.
