GOP candidate Santorum adds southern Ohio visit

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum will make a return visit to southern Ohio as he crisscrosses the state the weekend before its primary.

Party officials say the former Pennsylvania senator will have a morning rally March 2 in Chillicothe, about 50 miles south of Columbus. It will be his second foray into Appalachian southern Ohio, after highlighting a Brown County GOP dinner Feb. 17.

Santorum will speak Friday evening, on the 2nd, at the Lake County Republican Party’s Lincoln Day dinner in Eastlake, in northern Ohio. He is also booked March 3 for a Lincoln-Reagan Day party dinner at Bowling Green State University in northwest Ohio.

Ohio has 66 delegates at stake March 6, second-most among 10 “Super Tuesday” states.
