Beaver Creek Sportsman Club, 14480 Washingtonville Road, Washingtonville, will serve fish and shrimp dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Dinners include french fries, coleslaw and a beverage. The cost is $9 for a fish dinner or $8 for a shrimp dinner. Carryouts are available.

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a baked chicken dinner from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at the church. Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935 will serve Lenten fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. The menu consists of baked or fried fish, coleslaw, french fries, bread, cake and coffee; pop and water are available for 50 cents. Immaculate Heart Church Center, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will be the site of a Lenten fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m., sponsored by St. Joseph and Immaculate Heart of Mary Home and School Association. The cost is $9.95, and the menu consists of a choice of fried or baked fish, vegetable, choice of side, coleslaw, dessert and beverage.

St. Columba Cathedral will have its seventh annual pasta fagioli dinner from 11 a.m to 7 p.m. in the church hall on Wood Street, Youngstown. The cost is $6, and the menu consists of a bowl of pasta fagioli, salad, dessert, bread and butter, and a beverage; children 10 and under (dine-in only) cost $4. American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m. each Friday: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; or shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935 will serve Lenten fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. on Fridays during Lent except March 16 and April 7. The menu consists of baked or fried fish, coleslaw, french fries, bread, cake and coffee; pop and water are available for 50 cents. The children’s menu includes spaghetti with sauce or macaroni and cheese. Prices are $7.50 for adults and $4.50 for children 4 to12. Children 3 and under eat free.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed early from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528, and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

St. Brendan Church, 144 N. Schenley Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. every Friday through March 30 in the church hall. There will be a choice of beer batter, fried, baked or cajun-style fish served with a choice of sides, dessert and coffee. The cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. An extra piece of fish is $5, and extra sides are $2 or $3. Luncheon specials from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. are takeout only and include a dinner for $9 or a sandwich and side for $6. St. Nick’s Moms and Dads Club will sponsor a fish dinner at the St. Nicholas Church Great Hall, 764 Fifth St., Struthers. St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. St. Thomas the Apostle Church, formerly St. Vincent de Paul, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. on Fridays during Lent through March 30; takeout service starts at 3 p.m. Dinners consist of a choice of baked or fried fish, parsley potatoes, pirogi, coleslaw, applesauce, bread and butter, dessert and a beverage. Ellsworth United Methodist Church will host a dinner of baked ham and scalloped potatoes from 4 to 7 p.m. at VFW Post 9571, 11397 Ellsworth Road, Ellsworth. Prices are $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 10 and free for kids 5 and under. Carryouts will be available.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will sponsor a breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. The all-you-can-eat meal will feature eggs, pancakes, french toast, potatoes, sausage, breakfast rolls, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and onions, juice and coffee. United Community Scholarship Foundation will sponsor their annual all-you-can-eat omelet breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon in the cafeteria at United High School, 8143 state Route 9, Hanoverton. The breakfast consists of made-to-order omelets, fruit crepes, doughnuts and a beverage. The price is $7 for adults and $4 for children 4 to12. Those 3 and under eat free. There also will be a silent auction featuring services, items and gift baskets. All proceeds go toward scholarships for United High School seniors.

SUNDAY

Boy Scout Troop 184 is having a pancake breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Church, 4545 New Road, Austintown. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under 10 and $15 for a family (2 adults plus children). Pancakes, sausage, eggs, toast, orange juice and coffee will be on the menu. Circle of Serbian Sisters will serve a paprikash dinner from 11:30 a.m. until sold out at the Serbian Memorial Hall, 54 Laird Ave., Youngstown. TUESDAY

TAKING ORDERS

Simon Road Church of God, 4750 Simon Road, Boardman, will accept orders for kolachi through March 18. Varieties are nut, apricot, poppy and prune. The cost for each is $8. Pickup will be from 3 to 4 p.m. March 22. Orders can also be placed for quarter-pound chocolate-covered peanut butter eggs at $2.50 each.

St. Anne Ukrainian Byzantine Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, is taking orders for poppyseed, nut, apricot and nut with raisin kolachi for Easter. The cost is $11 each. Sales are limited to the first 300 orders, and pickup will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. March 24. Orders also are being taken for Easter bread with raisins. Cost is $8 each. Sales are limited to the first 100 orders, and pickup will be from 5 to 6 p.m. March 31. Charlene Bury is taking orders for both items at 330-519-5311.

Shepherd of the Valley, 7148 West Blvd., Boardman, will have a fish fry from 3 to 6 p.m. March 9. Baked or fried fish will be offered. Side dishes are hush puppies, coleslaw and a choice of homemade french fries or mac and cheese. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under.
