Local groups support World Spay Day

Two Warren groups will participate in World Spay Day, an international campaign of The Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International.

TNR of Warren and Cats are People Too! Club will promote the benefits of spay/neuter when they host the community booth from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday on the Target Concourse at the Eastwood Mall.

There will be free raffles for gift certificates, cat neuter certificates, and other giveaways provided by local veterinarians and clinics: Dr. Kelley Kilar at Village Green Veterinary Service in Brookfield; Niles Veterinary Clinic; Dr. Kimber Mackenzie at Western Reserve Veterinary Hospital in Cortland; Dr. Holly Ray at Champion Animal Hospital; and Dr. Suzanne Wilcox at Steel Valley Spay Neuter Clinic in Girard.

There also will be a basket raffle for a cat and dog basket.
