Josh Gasser scored 15 points, Jared Berggren added 13 points, and Ryan Evans and Jordan Taylor scored 11 each for the Badgers (20-7, 9-5 Big Ten), who have won eight of their last 10 games. Tim Frazier scored 20 points for the Nittany Lions (12-16, 4-11), who haven’t won in Madison since 1995, a span of 15 games.

No. 7 Michigan St. 76, Purdue 62

WEST LAFAYETTE, IND.

Draymond Green had 20 points and 10 rebounds, and Austin Thornton scored a career-high 17 points for Michigan State. Purdue (17-10, 7-7), which had a three-game winning streak snapped, got 24 points from Robbie Hummel.

Matt Gaten scored a career-high 30 points for Iowa. Melsahn Basabe had 13 points for the Hawkeyes (14-13, 6-8 Big Ten).

C.J. Fair scored a career-high 21 points and Scoop Jardine added 17, including a dagger 3-pointer with 1:11 to play for Syracuse.

No. 5 Duke 75, Boston College 50

BOSTON

Seth Curry scored 18 points and Duke didn’t need another late rally as it cruised over Boston College behind a smothering defense. Duke went ahead for good on a layup by Austin Rivers midway through the first half, 15-13, led 30-21 at intermission and stretched that to 28 points midway through the second half.

Tennessee State 68, Miami (Ohio) 61

Robert Covington scored 14 points to lead Tennessee State, and the Tigers went on a 15-7 run in the final four minutes. Jordan Cyphers got half of his 10 points in the game on late back-to-back possessions. Julian Mavunga had 15 points for the Redhawks (8-17).
