Local author writes sequel, ‘Holy Revenge’

Author Jessica A. Robinson of Youngstown comes out with her third novel, a sequel, “Holy Revenge.”

She will premiere the book from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Hot Topix book club at Barnes & Noble, in the Shops at Boardman Park, Boardman.

Her first mark in the writing world was made in 2009 with her first novel, “Holy Seduction.” The success of the first book inspired her to write the second, “Pretty Skeletons.” Fans wanted the sequel to “Holy Seduction,” but she made them wait. The sequel is “Holy Revenge,” and fans can buy a hard copy at Barnes & Noble as well as meet her.

The author recently became a registered nurse and floats between three hospitals while finishing her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Kent State University.

hTrinidadian author brings out first novel

Author Nathalie Taghaboni, born in Trinidad and Tobago and raised in Toronto, now lives in Boardman with her husband and two children.

Taghaboni has written her first novel, “Across From Lapeyrouse,” available in Kindle format at www.amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com. She also is a freelance photojournalist and the author of a collection of dialect short stories titled “Tales from Icebox Land,” written under her pen name, Queen Macoomeh.

Author Metzler to sign at fish fries

David Metzler, author of “3 Shady Ladies,” will sign copies of his book at Lake Milton American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, where he is a member, during two Friday-night fish fries.

The signings will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday and March 2.

“3 Shady Ladies” is a novel about three women who grew up together in a small Ohio town. They live in New York City and meet up with the man of their dreams, a young, handsome Marine hero.

The adventure unfolds as the three attempt to help their Marine friend evade government officials hot on his trail. The government accused him of “aiding and abetting the enemy” for saving the life of a young Iraqi girl, a would-be suicide bomber who changed her mind at the last minute.
