TMH has no record of victim shot in back

ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital had no record Saturday of Jeremiah Allen, 18, of Taylor Street , who was in serious condition as late as Thursday night after being shot in the back Wednesday on North Feederle Avenue.

Police were called at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday about gunshots being fired near the intersection of Feederle and Hazelwood avenues. They found broken glass in the street.

As officers were searching, they were advised that TMH was treating Allen for a gunshot wound.

At the hospital, an officer found Allen’s car with the rear window broken out and damage where a bullet hit the door frame.

Doctors said Allen had a life-threatening wound in the area just below the shoulder blade, police said.
