Teen killed in 2-car crash in Columbiana County

Jesse E. Mitchell, 19, of Alliance, was killed in a two-car crash at the intersection of Knox School and Hartley roads just south of Sebring in Columbiana County at 9:08 p.m. Friday.

Mitchell was driving a 2003 Chevy Cavalier eastbound on Hartley Road when his car collided with a southbound 1996 Toyota Cellica driven by Connor R. Sell, 19 of Damascus.

Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sell and his passenger, Taylor R. Steed, 16, were transported to Aultman Hospital in Canton for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, said the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Lisbon post, which is handling the crash.
