Registration for children entering St. Charles for the 2012-13 school year will be from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the school lobby.

Siblings of children already attending St. Charles are registered through the school and do not need to come in on these days.

These materials are needed to complete registration: copy of birth certificate, copy of baptismal certificate (if Catholic), immunization records (two varicella/chicken pox, five DPT and booster, four polio, three Hepatitis B and two MMR) by Day 14 of school or they cannot attend until up-to-date. Students in grades two through six need one varicella, and seventh-grade students need a Tdap or Td booster, Social Security number, $30 nonrefundable registration fee, proof of child custody (if applicable) and a copy of child’s last report card from previous school for grades first through eighth.

The registration application takes about 10 to 15 minutes to fill out with basic information, including work addresses and phone numbers.

Registration for St. Stephen School is ongoing for all grades. Ed Choice is accepted. Call the school office at 330-652-5511.

Open enrollment

HOWLAND

The Howland School District will accept applications for open-enrollment students for the 2012-13 school year during March.

Applications may be picked up in person at the administration offices, 8200 South Street SE, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 1-30. Availability is affected by Howland-resident enrollment.

WCLC meetings

Boardman

Willow Creek Learning Center, a private, non-denominational Christian school, will have two informational meetings for parents of kindergarten-age children, at 7 p.m. Thursday and at 9:15 a.m. Friday.

The presentation will include an overview of the curriculum, screening process, fees and financial aid and a tour of the facilities.

The center, 1322 W. Western Reserve Road, serves children from preschool through eighth grade. Private tours are available.
