The Mahoning Valley Manufacturers Coalition is trying to address the skilled-trades gap in the region. Some available positions with occupation, growth percentage in the next two to three years, starting hourly wage and high wage:

Welding, 27.3 percent, $13.74, $18.38.

Machining, 41.4 percent, $14.01, $23.54.

Machine building and maintenance, 34.4 percent, $11.65, $16.55.
