Greek youth basketball tourney continues Sunday in Warren, Howland

WARREN

The Metropolis Greek Orthodox Youth of America basketball tournament, sponsored by the Greek Orthodox Diocese of Pittsburgh, wraps up Sunday in gyms in Warren and Howland.

The tournament features 40 boys and girls teams from Warren, Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Massillon and Lorain in grades seven through 12. The games began this morning, and the championships will be played Sunday after church services. Between 600 and 700 out-of-town visitors are expected.

St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on High Street Northeast is among the local organizers.
