Teen faces arraignment in Ohio Craigslist killings
AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Prosecutors in Ohio are moving ahead with plans for an adult trial for a teenager charged in the shooting deaths of three men lured by phony Craigslist job offers.
A judge said 17-year-old Brogan Rafferty would be transported from juvenile lockup for arraignment in adult court in Akron this morning.
Rafferty is charged with three counts of aggravated murder, attempted murder, aggravated robbery, kidnapping and grand theft.
On Thursday, a juvenile court judge scheduled a three-day hearing in April on whether to try Rafferty as an adult.
A onetime mentor of his, 52-year-old Richard Beasley of Akron, has pleaded not guilty in the slayings.
