Jason Kokrak fired a 2-over 73 today to finish in the money for the second straight week on the PGA Tour.

His day never quite exploded like it had a day earlier. But he stayed steady — tossing in two birdies against four bogeys.

Bill Haas won the event.

Next week is an Accenture World Match Play event that Kokrak is not eligible for. There is also an event in Mexico, which Kokrak is not signed up for. So as of now, it looks like the JFK grad is taking the week off after six events in a row.

Jason Kokrak heads into today's final round at Riviera Country Club in position for a solid payday for the first-year PGA'er.

His round Saturday was the talk of the day — until he got to his back 9. Through his first 10 holes Saturday, Kokrak rattled in 5 birdies. Putts from 10 and 15 feet away seemed to be on FedEx routes the way they found the cup.

Then the backside came, and four bogeys negated the torrid start. Two par 3s were particularly stubborn.

He tees off just after noon Valley time today, 7 shots off the leaders.

It will be his second straight pay weekend after cashing in $153,000 last week at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Warren's Jason Kokrak shot a 4-under 67 in Friday's second round of the Northern Trust Open, moving him to 1-over for the tournament.

Kokrak had a bogey-free round, making birdies on the first, second, ninth and 12th holes. He was tied for 43rd at 7:30 p.m.

It was a making-up-ground day for Jason after a windswept first round bloated him to 7 over par. First-round play was suspended because of darkness.

The projected cut line is 3 over.

Kokrak finished ninth at last week's Pebble Beach Pro-Am and ranks 64th on this year's PGA Tour money list with $163,940 in winnings.

Kokrak teed off among the final groups Thursday who all returned to the course Friday morning to finish. Kokrak picked up his round on No. 14. And in those late groups were some high scores -- 7, 8 and 9 over par. There were high scores all day, the ending groups seemed to catch a good number of them.
