Second annual Irish Comalya planned

Area residents are invited to get a jump start on St. Patrick’s Day celebrations by attending Catholic Charities second annual Irish Comalya starting at 6 p.m March 3 at the Hippodrome Banquet Center, 150 High St.

There will be an Irish-themed buffet dinner and a cash bar offering Irish and domestic beers, wine, mixed drinks and Irish coffee.

The event, for those 21 and older, will feature live performances by County Mayo and the Burke School of Irish Dance, auctions, games and prizes.

Jim Loboy will serve as master of ceremonies.

Tickets will be sold for $30 each and can be purchased in advance by calling Nikole Baringer at 330-744-8451, ext. 323, or visiting www.ccdoy.org.

All proceeds will support Catholic Charities’ “Fund for the Poor,” which provides direct assistance for those in need throughout the six-county Diocese of Youngstown.
