Pregnant Pa. woman killed in her basement

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police are investigating the death of a pregnant woman in the basement of her Philadelphia home.

Officers were called to the home early today and discovered the 24-year-old woman with severe head trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the woman was about six months pregnant.

Chief Inspector Scott Small says several family members were in the home at the time. They were taken for question by homicide detectives.

Authorities did not immediately release the woman’s name.
