Arizona couple to marry here on St. Patrick’s Day

Mary Alice O’Malley of Youngstown is announcing the engagement and upcoming marriage of her daughter, Bridget O’Malley, to Dr. James Spangler, both of Scottsdale, Ariz. The bride-elect also is the daughter of the late Howard J. O’Malley III. Parents of the prospective groom are James and Patricia Spangler of Salinas, Calif.

The couple will wed at 2 p.m. March 17 in an open ceremony at St. Columba Cathedral. Invitations will be extended for an evening reception in their honor at Antone’s Banquet Centre in Boardman.

After earning a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University, Miss O’Malley is a sales executive in Scottsdale.

Dr. Spangler earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Davis, and a doctorate in osteopathic medicine from Midwestern University. He is an anesthesiologist at Gateway Anesthesia Associates in Mesa, Ariz.
