Warren police continue search for men who tried to abduct 6-year-olds

WARREN

A Warren police detective was trying Tuesday afternoon to talk to two girls who reported that two men tried to abduct them Saturday evening.

Sgt. Jeff Cole said no arrests have been made, and police have no leads to indicate who the men were.

The girls, sisters, age 6, said they were walking home in the 1500 block of Kenilworth Avenue Southeast at 7:08 p.m. when two men — one black and one white — came up from behind and physically picked them up.

The girls were able to kick free and run to a friend’s house, police said.

The men fled in a black Ford Ranger pickup truck toward Niles Road, the girls said.
