Speaker to explain agricultural-use values

An Ohio Farm Bureau lawyer will explain how agricultural-use values are calculated at a Feb. 25 meeting of the Mahoning County Farm Bureau.
Atty. Larry Gearhart will be the keynote speaker at the 10 a.m. meeting at the Joyce E. Brooks Conference Center at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center, 7300 N. Palmyra Road. Admission is free for farm-bureau members and $10 for nonmembers.

Agricultural-use value is a real-estate tax-assessment program that gives farmers the opportunity to have their land taxed according to its value in agriculture, rather than full-market value.
