Death of Columbiana trucking company worker expected to be ruled accidental

Cause of death for Jeffrey Uber, 57, of Niles, remains under investigation, though “all is pointing to an accident,” the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office reports.

Uber died at St. Elizabeth Health Center last Wednesday after being brought there Feb. 7 from Better Management Corp. of Ohio, a trucking company, on Esterly Drive in Columbiana, where he suffered a head injury.

Chris Meditz of the coroner’s office said the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is also continuing to investigate.
