United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley 2011 campaign raised $2,400,560.

“We appreciate everyone who supported this campaign ... to everyone demonstrating extraordinary generosity, we are so grateful for your belief in our work. It takes an entire community to move forward, and in this difficult economic climate for all of us, the Mahoning Valley came through again to support the programs and initiatives we fund,” said Bob Hannon, United Way president.

As a campaign incentive this year, Traveline Travel Services donated two AirTran airline tickets to anywhere in the United States. All donors of $104 or more to the 2011 campaign qualified for the drawing.

As a campaign incentive exclusive to Youngstown State University employees, Doug Sweeney of Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, donated a two year lease on a Chevrolet Cruze. Youngstown State University employees received an entry for each $104 pledged.

As a campaign incentive exclusive to General Motors Lordstown Complex employees, Semach’s Northside TV donated a 42” Plasma HDTV. General Motors employees received an entry for each $104 pledged.
