The Trumbull County Farm Bureau and the Trumbull County recorder’s office will host an informational oil and gas meeting at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Trumbull County Joint Vocational School, 528 Education Highway.
The meeting will feature Dale Arnold, director of energy, utility and local government policy at the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, who will discuss the changes in the oil and gas industry and answer questions about oil and gas leases.
Seating is limited and light refreshments will be provided.

Export seminar set for March 29

The Northeast Ohio International Trade Assistance Center will host an export documentation and compliance seminar that will give area manufacturers information to assist with the export process.
The full-day seminar, scheduled for March 29 at the Holiday Inn in Independence, will feature Omari Wooden, trade ombudsman of the U.S. Census Bureau and other experts.
Registration is at 8 a.m. and the program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The cost is $125 if registered by March 15 and $150 after this date, and the price includes continental breakfast and lunch.

TCTC offers second oil and gas course
CHAMPION
Trumbull Career and Technical Center on Educational Highway will have two two-hour information session for its second oil-and gas-drilling course, Certified Energy Specialist, from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 20.
It is an 80-hour course covering various aspects of the natural-gas industry. It covers a broad scope of skill sets for a variety of job descriptions.

Chamber will host marketing talk
YOUNGSTOWN
The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will host a marketing roundtable from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at The Youngstown Club, Commerce Building, 201 E. Commerce St.
Discussion points include how businesses can increase competition by providing strong customer service.
James Miketa, president of Ideal Store Fixtures, Ltd. and RCS Consulting, will help attendees develop customer service guidelines that will help serve and expand their client base.
