Camp help needed
The Trumbull County 4-H youth program is seeking young men age 14 and up to serve as volunteer camp counselors for 4-H’s 2012 residential camping program for age 8 to 13. Prior 4-H involvement is not required.
The camp will be July 29-Aug. 4 at Camp Whitewood in Windsor, Ashtabula County. Counselors will teach programs and serve as cabin counselors.
All-day training sessions will be Feb. 20 and July 21. Six evening sessions will be from March to June. A training camp will be June 10-13. For more information, call 330-638-6783.
Candidate forum
CHAMPION
A candidate forum hosted by the Trumbull Township Association will be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Kent State Trumbull Lecture Hall A, 4314 Mahoning Ave. NW. Candidates running in the March 6 primary are invited to participate.
Tax assistance
North Lima
Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St., will host a free tax-preparation-assistance clinic through the Ohio Benefit Bank from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
Completion of the simple tax form only will be provided free for those with incomes of $60,000 or lower. Call the church office, 330-549-2406 for an appointment that day or another day. Ohio Benefit Bank is an Internet-based, counselor-assisted service that connects low- and moderate-income families to tax credits and work supports.
