WINONA, OHIO

Shannon Stanwood and Brent Baker, both of Homeworth, Ohio, were united in marriage July 9 in a 2 p.m. ceremony at Winona United Methodist Church. The Rev. William E. Church officiated for the daughter of Jay and Margie Stanwood of Columbiana, and the son of Gary and Carolyn Baker of Salem. A reception for the couple took place at The Georgetown in Boardman.

The bride wore a white A-line gown styled with a halter bodice and featuring a lace overlay embellished with beading, and a chapel-length train.

Attending the bride in dresses of a blue and white floral pattern design were Kristen Scott, the matron of honor, and bridesmaids Rachel Stanwood and Katie Stanwood, sisters of the bride; and Ashley James, the bride’s cousin. Madilynn Baker, the groom’s daughter, served as flower girl.

Jacob Baker performed the duties of best man for his father. Groomsmen were Brian Baker and Brad Baker, brothers of the groom; Jay Stanwood, the bride’s brother; and Nat Wallace.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Ashland University and a master’s degree in special education from Walden University, the bride is an intervention specialist at South Range High School in Canfield.

The groom is self-employed with Baker’s Breeding Service in Homeworth after earning a degree in dairy science from Ohio State University Agricultural Technical Institute.

The couple reside in Homeworth.
