Polish club plans tea reception

The Polish Arts Club of Youngstown’s 76th annual Scholarship Art, Music & Tea Reception will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 19 at the Butler Institute of American Art, Main Building. The event is free, and a traditional high tea with homemade cookies reception will follow. Screenings of “Dziad i Baba,” a short film, will take place at 12:30 and 3:30.
Italian class offered

A second-level Italian class will be offered at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 343 Via Mount Carmel, in Youngstown. Registration and the first class will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday. For information call Lio Comichista at 330-545-1525.
Garden Forum seeks scholarship applicants
YOUNGSTOWN
The Garden Forum of the Greater Youngstown Area is accepting applications for a $500 scholarship to be awarded to qualifying college students who are studying horticulture.
Each applicant must:
Be a graduating high school senior or enrolled college student continuing his or her education in a horticulture program.
Be attending or planning to attend an institution in Ohio.
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on the 4.0 system.
Currently live in or have attended high school in Columbiana, Mahoning, Stark or Trumbull counties.
Applications may be requested from Garden Forum of Greater Youngstown, 123 McKinley Ave., Youngstown OH 44509 or by calling 330-740-7116 ext. 210.
Applications must be submitted by April 1.
New Waterford church prepares food and fun
NEW WATERFORD
New Waterford United Methodist Church, 46925 S. State St., will sponsor a pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
Donations will be accepted. Later that day, the public is invited to attend the church’s free Family Fun Night. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. and games will begin at 7.
