Local artists show their work at Winter Market at B&O Station this weekend


YOUNGSTOWN — The Artists of the Rust Belt presents the Winter Market this weekend at the B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave., downtown.

Admission is free. The market will be from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. For information call 330-219-9539.

More than 40 local artisans, including such media as jewelry, painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, fiber art, and more, will have their work available for purchase.

Daniel Horne, market organizer, said, “Everything is handmade right here in the rust belt by the fine artisans represented at the shows that live and work in this community.” The market features a spending raffle. For every $10 spent on art, patrons receive a raffle ticket they can enter in their choice of prizes.

The prizes for the market include $30 gift certificates to Vernon’s V2 Wine Bar & Trattoria, Vintage Estates, Artistic Dermagraphics, and the Rust Belt Theater Co. Pasquales will have gourmet food available.

Saturday’s music will feature The Guilty Pleasures, from 4 to 7 p.m., and the Womack Family Band performs from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
