Canfield’s Halfhill reaches milestones

University of Chicago senior Bryanne Halfhill, a 2008 Canfield High graduate, recently reached 1,000 career points and became the school’s all-time leading 3-point shooter in the same game.

Halfhill made her 175th 3-pointer with 10 minutes left in last week’s game against Rochester, then later became the 10th player in Maroons history to reach 1,000 points. Chicago (18-0) is ranked second in Division III.

The annual Pink Ribbon Gold Classic will be held at Tippecanoe Country Club on July 16.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to the American Cancer Society.

The Pink Ribbon committee will also sponsor a bus trip this spring to a local casino. Watch for further details on both of these events.
