Canfield board begins search for new superintendent

The Canfield Board of Education is conducting a search for a new superintendent.

To provide for board staff and community involvement, a series of input meetings will be scheduled to collect data on the preferred qualifications and characteristics of the new superintendent. These meetings will be scheduled this month.

In collaboration with the Mahoning County Educational Service Center, the board has solicited the services of Finding Leaders, a consulting firm focused on school leader searches, to assist in its search for a new superintendent. Finding Leaders will be conducting the meetings with the staff and community, advertising the opening, recruiting candidates, screening, interviewing and facilitating board, staff and community interviews.

Interested applicants have until March 23 to submit their applications. The board will be interviewing candidates in April and May and plans to announce the name of the successful candidate by mid-May.

Applications may be sent to: Mr. Paul Pendleton, Finding Leaders, 5811 Canal Road, Valley View, OH 44125. For more information, contact Pendleton at 216-225-2787, pendlent@aol.com or Dave Kircher at 440-666-4889, davidkircher@cox.net.
