Ohio man charged after placing son in dryer
CAMBRIDGE, Ohio (AP) — A man faces a court hearing after police say he placed his 3-year-old son in a clothes dryer as a punishment.
Guernsey County sheriff’s deputies did not see any visible injuries on the child when the man was arrested after deputies went to a house in Cambridge to check on the child.
The Zanesville Times reports today that 40-year-old Jamial Bayly has been charged with child endangerment and is scheduled for a video arraignment in Cambridge Municipal Court.
Sheriff Michael McCauley said today deputies went to the home Sunday after getting a tip from family members.
McCauley says the boy was released to his mother, who wasn’t home at the time of the dryer incident.
