“A Light in the Darkness: A Story of Hope During the Holocaust” soon will be available to the world.
The Holocaust play written by J.E. Ballantyne of Youngstown got its premiere last fall at Victorian Players Theater.
Last month, Ballantyne made the performance rights available to schools and theaters across the country.
Liberty High School will become the first U.S. high school to stage the play; it will have performances this spring.
“Light in the Darkness” is about Anne Frank’s stepsister, Eva Schloss, whose family was sent to Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II. Schloss, who lives in London, came to Youngstown for the premiere of the play.
