Happy Hearts set date for valentine fundraiser

YOUNGSTOWN

Happy Hearts Jr. Croatian Tamburitzans will host a valentine dance on Saturday at St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. and there will be music by Ice N Spice from 7 to 11 p.m. There will be a Croatian kitchen complete with haluski, cevapcici (Croatian sausage) dinners and Croatian potato salad for purchase. There also will be baked goods and strudel for sale.

The admission price is a $5 donation. Children 12 and under are free.

Annual wine taste scheduled for Saturday

LOWELLVILLE

The Lowellville Mt. Carmel Society will have its annual wine taste from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Club Social Hall, 102 Washington St. Tickets cost $20 per person and include homemade wine and hors d’oeuvres. A cash bar for beer and spirits will be available and DJ Michael Romeo will provide entertainment.

SCOPE to sponsor Greenbriar resort trip

The Niles SCOPE Senior Center is sponsoring a trip to the Greenbriar Resort and Casino, in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., from March 18 to March 19.

The tour includes the following: one night in a luxurious room, $20 for slot play and baggage. The cost is $250, and a $75 deposit is due by Wednesday.
