Pleads innocent

WARREN

Jumal E. Rowe, 18, of Hamilton Street Southwest pleaded innocent Tuesday to felonious assault and misdemeanor resisting arrest and marijuana-possession charges on allegations of assaulting an assistant principal at Warren G. Harding High School.

Police said Rowe bumped Assistant Principal William Nicholson several times and became threatening at 11:35 a.m. Tuesday at the high school. Nicholson did not suffer an injury.

When police arrived at the school, Nicholson and other school staff were holding Rowe on the floor. A Warren policeman struggled with Rowe to get handcuffs on him. While taking Rowe to the Trumbull County jail, a police officer found a small bag of marijuana on him, police said.

A judge in Warren Municipal Court ordered Rowe to be held in the jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.
