WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a baked chicken dinner from 11:30 to 1 p.m. today at the church. The meal also includes salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be available for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. THURSDAY

Calvary United Methodist Church, 12062 South Ave. Ext., North Lima, will have a drive-through chicken dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out). Dinners consist of stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and a brownie. The cost is $6. Drive up to the door, and a volunteer will take the meal to your car. Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

Palmy Chapter 114, Order of the Eastern Star, will host its monthly soup and salad from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Deerfield Masonic hall, 2380 state Route 225. The meal costs $6 and consists of tossed salad, choice of chili or beef vegetable, crackers, dessert and a beverage. Takeouts are available. Proceeds support the Back Door Pantry at the Palmyra United Methodist Church.

VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. The price is $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12 and $6.25 for carryout. Meals include meatballs, salad, Italian bread and coffee or tea.

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m. each Friday: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; or shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. Each meal is $8 for adults, $5 for children under 12 and free for those 3 and under. A fish sandwich with fries and coleslaw is $5.50. For carryouts call (330) 654-5630. The band After Midnight will play after the dinner until 11 p.m.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi, while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed early from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot Lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

Lowellville Rod and Gun Club, 6225 Quarry Road, will have carryout fish dinners from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The meal consists of ocean perch, fries and coleslaw. The donation is $15. There also will be a lunch special from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for $8.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Frozen pirogi will be sold while supplies last. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Walk-in orders will be available. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

SATURDAY

Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, will serve chicken-pie dinners from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Meals will include potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, bread, dessert and beverage. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for preschoolers. For takeouts contact 330-638-5189.

Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, will serve a creamed chicken on biscuit dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. The menu will include mashed potatoes, coleslaw, green beans, applesauce, cranberry sauce, dessert and beverage. Takeouts will be available.

Sharon First United Methodist Church, 237 W. Silver St., will serve a chicken-pie dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, corner of Kirk Road and Canfield-Niles Road, Austintown, will serve an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The meal includes sausage and juice, coffee or tea. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under. Toddlers eat free.

SUNDAY

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church hall. Cost is $7 for adults and $4.50 for children. All carryouts are $7; containers are 75 cents or you can provide your own. Members of St. Monica Guild will sell pies during the dinner.

Sojourn to the Past is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. at Richard Brown Memorial United Methodist Church, 1205 Elm St., Youngstown. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Carryouts are available.

St. Joseph Church Men’s Club is sponsoring an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the social hall, 4565 New Road, Austintown. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, toast, coffee and juice are on the menu. Adults eat for $5, children 6 to 12 for $3, and children under 6 eat for free.

TUESDAY

Mahoning United Methodist Church, 2214 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will sell stuffed cabbage rolls from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until sold out) every Tuesday for $1.50 each. To order call 330-799-5318 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Friday. Walk-ins are welcome, but advance orders are appreciated.

TAKING ORDERS

Krakowiaki Polish Folk Circle is taking orders for its annual paczki sale until Feb. 15. Orders must be placed in advance and prepaid. Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St., North Lima, is having a beef tip and noodle dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 18. The meal also features tossed salad, bread, cherry pie and ice cream, and a beverage. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 12. Children 5 and under eat free.
