2012 Spin-a-thon Saturday at Youngstown Y

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Central YMCA, 17 N. Champion St., is having its 2012 Spin-A-Thon on Saturday from 7:15 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.

The Spin-A-Thon is a fundraising project to support the Y’s Strong Kids Campaign that provides membership financial assistance to underprivileged youth, families and individuals in the community.

In 2011, 206 spinners raised more than $60,000, said Garry Mrozek, chairman of the 2012 Strong Kids Campaign and chief executive officer of The Hometown Pharmacies.
