Aide charged with making child porn in NYC school

NEW YORK (AP) — A teacher’s aide in New York City has been accused of making videos of himself sexually exploiting children at the public elementary school where he worked.

Forty-year-old Taleek Brooks had already been hit with child pornography charges a month ago. But a federal judge revoked his bail today after the FBI said it had discovered additional evidence on his computer.

Prosecutors said that evidence included videos of Brooks spanking one naked child and fondling another in a school classroom. Previously, investigators had suspected him only of trading child pornography, not producing it.

Brooks did not speak in court, and his lawyer and family members declined to comment afterward.
