Ohio girl dragged to death
CLEVELAND (AP) — Authorities in northeast Ohio say a 16-year-old boy has surrendered to police in the death of a 16-year-old girl who was dragged by a vehicle during a late-night argument.
The Plain Dealer newspaper reports the boy surrendered to police today with his father and was being interviewed.
Police say the girl was standing next to a maroon Jeep on Sunday night when the driver accelerated, dragging her. She fell from the vehicle and later died at MetroHealth Medical Center.
The Cuyahoga County medical examiner’s office identified the girl as Rosaura Oquendo of Cleveland.
Police say the unoccupied vehicle was found this morning several blocks away.
