The Youngstown & Warren Inventors Association will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Liberty Township Administration Building, 1315 Church Hill-Hubbard Road.
The guest speaker will be Becki Olejnik, owner and president of Sydney Candle Co. in Cortland.
Olejnik will speak on the benefits of using soy-wax candles.
Her company makes environmentally friendly candles with nontoxic fumes. She also will discuss the company’s development and marketing of its products.
The meeting is open to the public, and there is no charge.
Social-media event

Jim Houck, senior consultant at Youngstown-based public-relations firm Pecchia Communications, will present “Like It or Leave It: Using Social Media for Business” next week at the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business Connection luncheon, a new monthly event coordinated by the chamber.
The event will begin at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Salem Community Center, 1098 N. Ellsworth Ave.

BBB’s new directors

The Better Business Bureau Board of Directors elected David Coy, general manager of Youngstown Television, LLC, to serve as chairman for 2012.
The board also elected the following officers: Teri Storey of Masonry Materials Plus and Ed Muransky of The Muransky Companies as vice-chairs; Eric Ryan of the Covelli Centre as treasurer; Terry DiMascio of Aim NationaLease as secretary; and Daryl Morrison of Time Warner Cable as immediate past chairperson.
Christopher Newman, Esq. of Henderson, Covington, Messenger, Newman & Thomas Co. L.P.A. was re-elected as counsel.
Four newly elected directors include: John Burgan of Burgan Real Estate Ltd., John Gulas of Farmers National Bank, Frank Hierro of Huntington Bank and Don Koenig Jr. of Humility of Mary Health Partners.

Prima expanding
SALEM
Prima Health Care will expand into the Salem area Monday with the opening of its third Express Care location.
The new Prima Express Care facility will be located at 564 E. Second Street and will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Visits to Prima Express Care are covered by office-visit co-pay, unlike more expensive urgent care and emergency-room visits.
