Youngstown man rescued by firefighters

YOUNGSTOWN

Fire crews rescued a man from a burning house on Berwick Avenue Saturday evening.

Two elderly residents made it safely out of the one-story house, but a man in his 50s had to be pulled out of the house by the Youngstown Fire Department because he was unconscious.

Fire crews had the fire, which was contained to one bedroom, under control “within minutes.”

The cause of the fire was still unknown late Saturday night; the unnamed man’s condition remains unknown.
