A Trumbull County grand jury this week indicted two teenage brothers on charges of aggravated robbery.

Police say Nicholas G. Bacon, 18, and Gerald E. Bacon, 19, both of Feederle Avenue Southeast, were among about five young men wearing masks and dark clothing who robbed the Rite Aid store on Youngstown Road at 10:34 p.m. Dec. 21.

Police also charged a 14-year-old boy.

Police said they were able to make arrests quickly because the suspects were milling around the store without masks on just before the robbery, and their faces were captured on store surveillance video.

Two of the men involved in the robbery held guns to the neck and head of two female clerks, police said.

If convicted, the Bacon brothers could spend up to 11 years in prison.

Also indicted was Reginald L. Comer Jr., 45, of 402 S. Davis St., Girard, on three counts of felonious assault in the Nov. 11 stabbing of his girlfriend and her 19-year-old son at their home.

Elizabeth Sellers, 40, and her son, Bruce, told police Comer stabbed them at 11:10 p.m. Elizabeth was bleeding profusely from the chest and abdomen when police arrived.

Bruce had been stabbed in the upper-right part of his chest, police said.

Elizabeth Sellers’ 17-year-old daughter, Ashley, told police Comer had tried to stab her, but the knife only tore the fabric on her pajama pants. An 8-year-old girl in the home was not injured.

Witnesses said Comer had left the home on foot after the stabbings and took the folding knife with him that he used in the attack.

Meanwhile, Charles M. Bland, 58, of 12th Street, McKinley Heights, pleaded innocent in common pleas court to four counts of rape and two counts of gross sexual imposition after his indictment.

He’s accused of raping and sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in February 2011 and of raping a 9-year-old girl last summer.

If convicted, Bland could get a life prison sentence. He is in the county jail in lieu of $250,000 bond.

Jenalynn Davidson, 26, of Millicent Avenue, Liberty, has pleaded innocent in common pleas court to committing a variety of crimes against a 5-year-old boy last fall that could produce a prison sentence of more than 10 years.

Her charges are felonious assault, gross sexual imposition, endangering children and misdemeanor domestic violence. The crimes were purportedly committed between Sept. 1 and Oct. 18, according to her indictment.

Matthew A. Barnes, 20, of 110 N. Chestnut Ave. in Niles was indicted on a charge of aggravated robbery in the robbery of a pizza delivery person at gunpoint Dec. 12.

Police said the robbery occurred at 9:08 p.m. at 118 N. Chestnut Ave. If convicted, Barnes could get a prison sentence of up to 11 years.
