Fugitive who eluded capture since March 2011 arrested on North Side

YOUNGSTOWN — Marlan B. Everson, 40, was arrested in the 700 block of Fairgreen Avenue today on the North Side, ending a search that began March 17, 2011, when a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Everson was arrested by officers assigned to the FBI Mahoning Valley Violent Crimes Task Force.

The warrant, issued in federal court, was for conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

Everson was featured in The Vindicator as Fugitive of the Week in August.
