Felony charges accusing Kristyn Weldy, 25, of 292 North Bank Street of drug abuse, child endangering and possessing chemicals to manufacture drugs have been bound over to a Trumbull County grand jury.

She also faces misdemeanor charges of drug abuse and theft.

Weldy and Charles Fisher, 30, also of the North Bank Street address, appeared in Central District Court on Wednesday after an investigation by the Trumbull Ashtabula Group Law Enforcement Task Force that turned up evidence the two operated a methamphetamine lab out of the home’s basement and on the property.

Fisher pleaded innocent Wednesday to possessing chemicals to manufacture drugs and child endangering. Judge Thomas Campbell set bond at $70,000. Weldy’s bond is $39,000.

TAG agents arrested Fisher on Monday after an investigation that began when Bazetta Township police arrested Weldy on Thursday and found her in possession of methamphetamine.

Investigators followed up on Weldy’s arrest by going to her home and finding drug paraphernalia, such as broken light bulbs used for smoking the drug and matches used in its manufacture, TAG said. Fisher arrived at the house while officers were there.

The Trumbull County Haz-Mat Team removed dangerous items from the house, and family members, including children, were required to leave.
