BERLIN CENTER

Kelsie Jo Ray and Nicholas Lee Markijohn were united in marriage June 25 at the Berlin Center United Methodist Church. The Rev. Russell Libb officiated at the ceremony for the daughter of David and Karen Ray of Leetonia and the son of Cindy Markijohn and Philip Markijohn, both of Canfield. An evening reception took place at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center in Youngstown.

The bride wore a white satin A-line gown styled with embroidered cap sleeves, chiffon split overlay and a chapel-length train. A double veil completed her ensemble.

Honor attendants were Kelsi Garwood, matron of honor, and Sara Schill, maid of honor. They wore horizon blue floor-length dresses, as did bridesmaids: Lisa Markijohn, sister of the groom; Kasey Baker, cousin of the bride; and Rachael Chiles and Heather Buckner. The flower girl was Kailey Baker, the bride’s cousin.

Jason Markijohn served as best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Billy Snowden, Danny Cain, Nick Sanders, Luke Srock and Darren Ray, the bride’s brother. Ring bearer duties were performed by Gizmo, the groom’s dog.

The bride and groom both are graduates of Kent State University. Mrs. Markijohn received a bachelor’s degree in education and is a second-grade teacher at Buckeye Elementary School in Salem.

Mr. Markijohn holds a bachelor’s degree in business and is employed at Warren Construction.

After a Caribbean cruise, a tour of Stone Mountain in Georgia, and visiting family in Florida and North Carolina, the couple are making their home in Leetonia.
