Grief counselors at Chaney after death of officer

Grief counselors were at Chaney High School Thursday, the day after a reserve Mahoning County deputy sheriff died while working at the school.

Karen Ingraham, city schools communication director, said the counselors would be at the school for students and staff for as long as needed.

Robert Conway, 57, of Boardman, was working security at the school when he collapsed. A police report said he had a history of heart problems.

School officials said no students were believed to be in the area at the time Conway collapsed.
