Event will support Someplace Safe


WARREN

Someplace Safe Inc., the only domestic violence agency in Trumbull County, will host its 9th annual fundraiser, and it’s titled Dinner and Desserts. It’s no longer just desserts; dinner is new this year.

The event will take place from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Feb. 10 at DiVieste Banquet Hall, 754 N. River Road NW.

Guest hosts will be Jim Loboy and Peggy Sinkovich of WYTV-33.

The evening will include a live auction, silent auction, basket raffle and 50-50 raffle. Jim DiGiacobbe will provide auction service, and Take II will provide the entertainment.

The dinner will be buffet-style and include chicken Parmesan, penne pasta, baked tilapia, roasted parsley potatoes, mixed vegetables, rolls, salad and coffee. A cash bar will be available.

Dessert samples will be provided by this year’s 10 vendors: Carries Cookies Co., Cookies to Go, Joanna’s Greek Treats, Just Pizzelles, PMG Chocolatier, Table of Temptations, The Cake Boutique, The Chocolate Lady, Mocha House and Warren Baking Co.

The fundraiser’s sponsors are Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley, Bodine Perry, First Place Bank, Franklin Pharmacy, Humility of Mary Health Partners, Janus Small Associates, Paige & Byrnes Insurance, Trumbull Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees and Windsor House at Champion.

Reservations cost $35 per person or two guests for $65. To make a reservation or for more information, call Someplace Safe at 330-393-3003. Reservations of eight can reserve a table. Make reservations by Tuesday. Adults 18 and older only are invited.

Someplace Safe is a private nonprofit agency in Warren that provides 24-hour emergency shelter and crisis intervention to victims of domestic violence and their dependent children.
