For the past three years, Brown was the wildlife- officer supervisor, overseeing the work of wildlife officers in Columbiana, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit and Trumbull counties, according to an ODNR news release.
He was responsible for coordinating his team of officers on wildlife law- enforcement projects, fisheries and wildlife surveys, providing assistance to private landowners, organizing presentations and assistance to conservation clubs and public conservation events, the release stated.
A dinner is planned for 6:30 to 10 p.m. Friday at the Assumption Social Center of St. Mary Catholic Church, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave. The cost is $35 and includes buffet dinner and drinks. Reservations will be accepted through Tuesday and can be made by calling John Kopcsos at 330-757-9020 or Dan Donoghue at 330-540-1631.
