The board of directors for Cortland Bancorp, the holding company for the Cortland Savings and Banking Company, has appointed Anthony Vross as a member of the board of directors of the company and bank. The appointment is effective Tuesday.

Hill, Barth & King is seeking candidates for its internship program.

“This program has been around for a very long time and has yielded some pretty significant returns,” said James Dascenzo, CPA and the principal in charge of the Youngstown office of HBK. “We’ve actually been extremely pleased with the results of the program in terms of what we receive, as well as that which we’re so happy to be able to give back to our communities through close work with fine institutions of higher learning.”

Dascenzo is intricately involved in the recruitment and selection process for the entire firm. He said all the 12 HBK offices housed in various cities in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida are active participants in the program, which encourages applications from accounting students throughout the country each year. He said HBK feels the program gives excellent experience to students because of the insight it provides in terms of career planning.
