All forms of art are welcome at Canfield Players Drama Club’s annual Synergy of the Arts, from music videos and short stories to oil paintings.

The coffee-house-style show will take place in the Canfield High School auditorium Jan. 4 at 7:30 p.m.

Synergy is a way for CHS students to present their artwork to their school and community and functions as one big game of artistic telephone. Each artist or group of artists has one week between October and January to produce a piece of artwork inspired by the artist or artists before them. The pieces are then presented in order at the January show.

“I love to see the talent we actually have at Canfield,” said senior Bailey Sandin.

A four-year veteran of Synergy, she has made a music video every time.

“Some of the art that people produce I frankly can’t believe that high-schoolers did it,” she continued. “It’s amazing.”

Synergy is Canfield Players’ only fundraiser and the proceeds go toward other drama club activities, such as the annual musical.

For those interested in attending, admission is $5 at the door.
